About this event
“A celebration of the creative spirit—a gift for the holiday season.” This was how former LAMAG director Josine Ianco-Starrels described The Magical Mystery Tour, an annual exhibition at LAMAG curated by Starrels which occurred every December from 1976-1986.
Taking advantage of the cheerfulness of the holiday season, the show focused on the lighter side of art, drawing a parallel between the artist’s power to transform space and a magician’s performance.
Visit LAMAG today to learn more about this exhibition series in an archive display located in the gallery's lobby.
