Description

Join president of the Detroit chapter of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History & Historian and Tour Leader Jamon Jordan for a monthly African & African American Tour Series at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

We will be learning about the MAAFA - the African Holocaust of Slavery, as well as the Fight for Freedom, including slave revolts, the Underground Railroad and the abolitionist movement in Detroit. This history tour goes right up to the period after the Civil War known as Reconstruction.

THIS TOUR IS FREE for Museum Members! If you are NOT a member of the museum, then you must pay your admission to the museum, and a $15 fee to Black Scroll Network History & Tours.

If you are a museum member, just show up on the day of the tour with PROOF of membership. Otherwise, you need to reserve your spot here, by making a paid reservation here for $15.

This tour is ONLY FREE to Museum Members who have proof of membership.

We Meet in Rotunda of the Wright Museum at 1pm on Friday, February 22nd.
