"The Love Betrayal" tells the story of Brandi Wilson, a former inmate of the Allen D. Edwards Women’s Correctional Center in Elmhurst, IL. Wilson is released from prison after serving a five (5) year sentence for involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of her abusive husband. Along the path to recovery, she is placed in a halfway house on 65th & Ingleside, run by religious widower, Yvonne Lee. It is here that she begins a close friendship with promiscuous bisexual, Monique Ridgell.
She is also required to attend therapy with a University of Chicago psychiatrist, Dr. Marie Chisholm, as she is trying to recover from a sexually abusive childhood and marriage, upon the terms of her release.
After a failed attempt at salvation, Ridgell suggests a Girl’s Night Out at an underground sex club in the city owned by the infamous and political, sex and crime ridden, Miss Cassandra LaRue. In a short time afterward, instead of becoming better, Brandi’s luck gradually gets worse. Where Brandi's life goes from here is anybody's guess.
