Description

Retreat Hours:

Friday: 7pm - 9pm

Saturday: 9am - 7pm

The Toronto retreat, the last of a three-city tour in 2017, will focus on the role of conversation in society and how it shapes media, film and diversity, as well as our international communities and political environments. To follow the Sakyong as he unpacks the teachings on this important topic, join the six-week live streaming online companion called The Cushion Tour.

In a world of connectivity to social media and email, we are all in constant connection with one another. Then why are so many people feeling burned out, distant from colleagues, and abandoned by family and friends?

In this new book, Sakyong Mipham uses the basic principles of the Shambhala tradition — meditation and a sincere belief in the inherent wisdom, compassion, and courage of all beings — to help readers listen and speak more mindfully with loved ones, co-workers, strangers, and even ourselves.

Join Sakyong Mipham with Lodro Rinzler and Fleet Maull for the live events Friday night and Saturday where they will explore The Lost Art of Good Conversation and how conversation can change our connections to ourselves, each other and our world.
