The Committee on the Environment invites you to join us as we explore the Living Building Challenge in this introductory session.

 

Living Building Challenge is a philosophy. Advocacy tool and certification program that covers development at all scales. It is comprised of seven performance areas: Site, Water, Energy, Health, Materials, Equity, and Beauty.

 

 
Learning Objectives:
  • Understand that basic philosophy of Living Building Challenge 2.0
  • Describe the key components of the program.
  • Discuss the rationale for restorative design principals
  • Identify and locate the resources provided by the ILBI for deeper engagement.
