Little Doobie Band presents “The First Waltz” at Wall Street Theater

About this event

		The Little Doobie Band image

The concept for this band has been in the works for at least the last two and a half years. I was always taken aback at how amazing the shows for some other triple tribute acts seemed to flow, and how they had their own amazing vibe that no tribute act to one specific band can create. I also thought long and hard about who would like to see live music right now more than anyone, and what I have always enjoyed. To me paying homage to these three acts that I grew up loving seemed like the perfect fit. The players all seemed to just fall into the project after that. I knew who I had in mind for certain roles. The rest came together after I had a date in mind, determining availability. The date (November 27th, which is 2 days after the 45th anniversary of the original concert) itself lends perfectly to the “First Waltz” concept, “The Last Waltz” is one of the greatest performance movies of all time, a moment in time of the great “The Band” and captured their essence so well. Playing a The Bandcentric show for the “First Waltz” became the perfect way to bring The Little Doobie Band out for an inaugural even of music that will hopefully lead to more dates in the future.

The Little Doobie Band will blow you away with a thunderous rhythm section, powerhouse vocals, brilliant horns and melodies that will bring you right back to seeing your favorite acts of all time, in their heyday playing their hearts out. The Little Doobie band burns bright and smokes on through the night, come out to the Wall Street Theater November 27th to “Listen to the music”.

The Little Doobie Band is comprised of some of the best musicians around to bring you the music of The Band, Little Feat and The Doobie Brothers. Presenting their “First Waltz” at The Wall Street Theater, Saturday November 27th, 2021.

The Little Doobie band has a thunderous rhythm section of Eric Kalb (Deep Banana Blackout) on drums, Ian D’Arcangelo on bass (One time weekend, also playing guitar and singing), Max Schiavone also on bass (Member?) and Aaron Hagele on percussion (Terrapin, also singing and band leader). Screaming leads of Darian Cunning (Jen Durkin and the Business) and killer keys by Chuck Chessler (Terrapin and Tyrone Shoelaces) bring the melodies. A crushing horn section of Chris Brouwers on trumpet (Turkuaz, also pulling double duty on keys), Josh Schwartz on bari sax (Turkuaz, also singing) and Rob Somerville on tenor sax (Kung Fu and Deep Banana Blackout) will bring the funk. Rounding out the band is miss Milo Barer singing with the group (Terrapin) her harmonies and leads will bring everyone to their feet to dance the night away. The Little Doobie band burns bright and smokes on through the night, come out to the Wall Street Theater November 27th to “Listen to the music”.
