What if I told you that the key to peace is already inside you- by using self-compassion on yourself? Self-compassion is a learned skill that teaches you how to soothe yourself with kindness when you make a mistake or experience difficult emotions. Evidence shows that using self-compassion as a daily practice can:

- alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety
- improve relationships
- boost happiness
- help you stick to goals, like diet and exercise or in your career

Join Jordan Thomas, MSW, of Nourish Counselling Services for a 90 minute workshop on cultivating self-compassion. In this workshop, you will learn what self-compassion is, why it trumps self-esteem and how to use some core skills.

Jordan has worked as an individual and couple's therapist for 13 years. While utilizing many therapeutic frameworks, mindful self-compassion has been key in helping clients unlock their potential. She hopes to teach anyone going through challenging times how to use self-compassion techniques. Start your new year off right by giving yourself the gift of self-love.
