LeNS Conference Mexico

Jan, 21-25th 2019 Apr 3-5th, 2019

Mexico City, Mexico

The Conference will be hosted by Mexico City (Mexico), Curitiba (Brasil), Cape Town (South Africa), Bangalore (India), Beijing (China) and Milan (Italy).

The local conference in Mexico City will be held in two moments:

  1. January 21th up to January 25th, the event will be live in Mexico City and all the accepted works will be presented and recorded.

  2. April 3th up to 5th, The International Conference: Designing Sustainability for All in each of the 6 venues it will be possible to listen to any of the presentations happening in the other ones. the recorded presentations will be shared with the rest of the venues.

The Abstract must be sent before October 15th and the Extended Paper or Poster before November 30th.

For both categories, extended abstracts must be up to 1500 words and should be structured as following:

  2. Purpose: the main purpose of the paper should be presented

  6. Results and Analysis

  7. Impacts on Sustainability

List of Topics

We are looking for papers presenting analyzing and discussing:

1.New theoretical considerations and contributions on the role of design
and other disciplines in the transition towards a Sustainability for All society. 2. New approaches, strategies, methods and tools to effectively enable development, implementation, diffusion and dissemination of Sustainability for All.

3. Experiences, concrete solutions and artefacts designed and developed as results of research activities, implemented courses/workshops/seminars on Sustainability for All development and diffusion; activities by designers, companies, institutions, communities, etc.

4. New Sustainability for All development and diffusion of education strategies and curricula.

Contributions may discuss either Design Research for Sustainability (R.DfS), Design Education for Sustainability (E.DfS), Design Practice for Sustainability (P.DfS), and Design for Sustainability in-between Research, Education and Practise (REP.DfS).

We also welcome works addressing any of the following topics:

  3. Product-Service System Design for Sustainability

  4. Design for Sustainable Distributed Economies

  5. Design for Sustainable Social Innovation and Behavior Change

  8. Design for Sustainable Indigenous Practices and Informal Economies

  9. Design for Sustainable Policies and Administrative support systems

    for Sustainability
