Feature film about women basketball players competing to go pro - plus a talk by the legendary Black director and camerawoman, Jessie Maple.

About this Event

A director and a cinematographer, Jessie is a pioneer in the film industry – one of the first Black women to helm a feature film and the first Black woman in the NY camera union. See her film TWICE AS NICE, which portrays twin college women’s basketball players competing to go pro. Scripted by S. Pearl Sharp and co-starring WNBA legend Cynthia Cooper-Dyke. Ms Maple will speak after the film about her career and will have her book for signing, The Maple Crew: A Memoir.
