Event Details

Join us in October for a Leadership Challenge developmental experience in colorful Colorado!

There are two parts to this learning experience, and you are invited to attend any and all that you wish! Days 1 & 2 (October 8-9) are focused on The Leadership Challenge® Workshop Experience, while Days 3 & 4 (October 10-11) are focused on The Leadership Challenge Facilitator Training.

This week of learning in beautiful Golden, Colorado, is grounded in the award-winning book on leadership, The Leadership Challenge, coauthored by James M. Kouzes and Barry Z. Pozner. This research-driven leadership framework is about how everyday leaders mobilize others to want to get extraordinary things done. It's about the best practices leaders use to transform values into actions, visions into realities, obstacles into innovations, separateness into solidarity, and risks into rewards. This unique and intensive development experience consistently serves as a catalyst for profound leadership transformation within individuals and organizations of all sizes, and in all industries. It is often described by clients as "poignant... transformational... challenging... reflective... inspiring."

 FAQ’s:

Where will the workshop(s) take place?

All workshops will take place at The Golden Hotel in colorful Golden, Colorado just west of Denver in the Golden Vista room. This quaint, historic town offers all types of activities including creek-side walking trails, rafting, hiking, breweries, shopping and historical walking tours. We consistently receive rave reviews on this location! This time of year in Golden will be beautiful, as it’s peak season for the aspen trees to be changing colors. Be sure to add in an extra day or two for taking in the sights if you can! You can learn more about what there is to do in the area HERE.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Denver International Airport is the closest airport to the event venue - The Golden Hotel. It's about a 40- minute car ride to the hotel. You may book a shuttle through Golden West Airport Shuttle straight from the airport that will drop you directly at the hotel. The shuttle is much more reasonably priced than Uber or a taxi. You are also able to book a round-trip ticket that will have the shuttle waiting for you at your requested time to take you back to the airport. If you have a vehicle, parking at the hotel is free. It is expected that you stay through the published end time of the session, so please book return travel accordingly.

Where should I book hotel?

The Golden Hotel is a creekside venue in the center of Golden, and most participants prefer to stay onsite here, where the workshop will take place. You can easily walk across the street for a variety of restaurants and shopping. No car is required to explore the area. Please make a reservation ASAP at the hotel directly by calling 800.233.7214, as rooms are filling up quickly with the aspens changing color!  Be sure to say you are with The Leadership Challenge workshop for a reduced rate.  The Table Mountain Inn is also located in the center of Golden, within an easy 5-minute walk of The Golden Hotel, should you wish to book there. The Courtyard Marriott Denver West/Golden and La Quinta Inn are also nearby; however, they are not within walking distance of The Golden Hotel.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions or special requests (food etc.)?

Are refunds available should I not be able to attend?

We do not offer refunds, but will be happy to make arrangements for you to attend a future session.
