The Laundry Arts with support from Nike Women is proud to celebrate Women, Creativity and Sport.
Calling All Girls ! Join us for an exciting day full of fitness, food, film, music, and thoughtful discussion.
We'll be starting off the day with a badass fitness class " Boxing for Bosses" hosted by 12 x 3 boxing. This will be followed by lunch provided by Institute Of Light's resident Zoe's Ghana Kitchen. Expect a kick! We will then sit down with; It's Nice That's, Bryony Stone, Romance FC founder, Trisha Lewis and DJ and Nike Running Club Leader MARTHA for our first talk of the day - Building Bigger Narratives. A panel discussion with these creative pioneers unpicking the place and importance of sport in their creative ventures, why community is so integral and more.
The second half of the day will kick off at 5pm with a series of film screenings curated by BOOTH, a platform and network for women in film, followed by a panel discussion around - Supporting your Community. Panellists include; G-IRL founder Kadish Morris, Sukeban Magazine co-founder and Photographer Erika Bowes and BOOTH founder Skyla Van Der Pols. These women are actively supporting the work of emerging, 1st time and established female creative practitioners, and are championing female inclusion and representation in the arts, creating channels and developing their communities.
*(Please arrive at 4:45 as the screenings will start at 5pm sharp)
