Event description

Description

In New Orleans there's always something underneath, always a lil’ something extra…

And it’s called Lagniappe.

Acclaimed storyteller Jim Fitzmorris is going to give you the last one.

From the creator of Be a New Orleanian: A Swearing In Ceremony comes a new one-man show that promises to get down and dirty in The Big Easy.

The Last Lagniappe.

Race, gentrification, and politics all lurk under the surface of New Orleans and inform even the things we love about our city.

No topic is taboo, no subject is to sacred.

Join Fitzmorris as he sifts through the cemeteries, the court houses, and even beloved City Park to expose the darker side of The Big Easy.

You’ll care. And you’ll never forget.

Featuring three original songs by the celebrated Paul Sanchez, The Last Lagniappe runs the entire month of July and promises to be an unforgettable night of theatre in The City That Care Forgot.

Opening night is July 1st at 8 o’clock at The Theatre at St Claude.

When the lights go down, the truth will come out.
