9:30 a.m. Light breakfast and beverages will be available

Public Panels include:

9:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Panel I. Media and Trust

Trust in the media is at an all-time low. The following panel explores issues related to the growing distrust of citizens and the media. What continues to be the perennial issues and what are emergent factors?

11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Panel II. Journalism and the Internet

The debate over the impact of the Internet on the field of journalism continues to evolve. Decades later and issues – from a disrupted business ecosystem to “fake news” to freedom of speech – persist and undermine the field’s integrity. The following session explores both long-standing and emerging concerns as it relates to society’s growing mistrust of the media and the role of Internet.
