About this event
The Kitchenistas is a documentary film about a passionate group of Latina immigrants in National City advocating for healthy food traditions to change communities and transform lives. The screening will be followed by a bi-lingual panel discussion moderated by County Supervisor Nora Vargas, with film producer Mary Ann Beyster, two graduates of the Kitchenistas program, and Dr. Falquier Montgrain, who are in the film.
This event is free to residents of National City and Kitchenistas. All other tickets are $10.

The Fleet Science Center and Olivewood Gardens & Learning Center have teamed up to make this event accessible to residents of National City by providing free transportation to-and-from the event from Olivewood Gardens. Please note: The Fleet Science Center's COVID protocols require that all guests regardless of vaccination status wear masks when inside the Fleet Science Center, including while seated in the in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater. Masks will also be required on the bus from Olivewood Gardens.
