Learn the fundamentals of home cheesemaking...

Put on your rubber boots and join Stefanie, owner and cheesemaker of Valley Milkhouse, in her creamery for a half day cheesemaking class. Gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience making a simple fresh cheese whose recipe can be easily translated to the home kitchen. We will be making a creamy Feta style with cow's milk, and the recipe translates beautifully with goat's or sheep's milk. The class will walk you through each step of the process, from warming milk to inoculation, from cutting curd to draining, salting and aging. The class includes an evaluative cheese tasting of the Valley Milkhouse lineup. 

Walk away with new skills, knowledge, a recipe and a packet of cultures to try in your own kitchen creamery.

Beginners welcome - no prior experience necessary.

The class will be capped at 10 people. If all current classes are full, you can email Stefanie at valleymilkhouse@gmail.com to join a waiting list.

Kitchen Creamery Gift Certificates are available and make great birthday, anniversary, holiday and wedding gifts! Recipients of the certificate have a credit for one class to be booked as their schedule suits.
