The Critically Acclaimed and Ovation Recommended production of THE KING OF THE DESERT returns to Los Angeles for an exclusive engagement to benefit Family HEART Camp (FHC), a nonprofit organization offering summer camps for all ages around the United States. FHC is a unique community experience for all people who long for more Harmony, Ease, Authenticity, Respect and Trust in their families, in their communities, and in the world. Grounded in the principles of Nonviolent Communication, the camps offer an unforgettable lived experience of compassionate community in places of natural beauty, for people of all ages. Many of the values of Family HEART Camp – meaning, growth, self-discovery, family and community – are deeply revealed in THE KING OF THE DESERT. With over 20 Critics Picks and a history of diverse community, school and theater audiences, this performance promises to entertain, engage and inspire you. At the benefit this Sunday, our community partners Las Fotos Project will be showing a project titled Self Portraits. Self-Portraits is a photography exhibit featuring 150 teenage girls who created captivating and inspiring self-portraits and personal narratives! Photos will be on display for 45 minutes before the performance and after the performance.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
The show is appropriate for ages 14 and older!
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is plenty of free parking at Barnsdall Art Park where the theatre is located. Please make sure to go up the hill to park as it's a bit of a hike if you park at the bottom of the hill.
