The Kickoff: Connecting Churches To Prepare For Crisis And Disaster
Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM (MDT)
Are you and your church ready to respond to a crisis or disaster in your church or community? If something happened today, would you have the skills and connections to jump in minister to those in need? Are you “plugged in” to work with your city, county or state officials to minister to those in need? This conference will present ways to get connected and trained so that when a crisis comes calling, you will be ready.
Why should your community have to wait for others to arrive after a disaster when your church could be on the forefront of responding and caring for those affected. Join the Denver Seminary CISM Team and 94.7 KRKS FM as we present some of the finest speakers in the area on the topics of crisis and disaster response. Admission is free, but the information will be invaluable!
- George Sullivan, Regional Director – American Red Cross
- Bart Banks, Asst. Director, Emergency Disaster Services - The Salvation Army
- Dan Thoemke, Dir. Community Faith in Action / Chaplain Golden P.D.
- Gino Geraci – Chaplain FBI / Pastor Calvary South Denver
There will be lunch and rountable discussion with our speakers after the event. The cost of the lunch will be $5 which you can pay at the door. The roundtable will last from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM. This will be a great time to interact with the speakers and get more indepth details from them.
When you register, you will see two different tickets. The first is to attend, but not stay for the lunch. The second is attending with lunch and roundtable. Please use the second ticket option if you are planning on attending the roundtable and would like lunch.
