change managementChange is the only constant.  The ability to adapt to change is now considered a competitive necessity.  Every day, new initiatives and projects are launched to improve performance, increase profits, and enhance your competitive advantage.  As leaders, we are expected to lead the change; as managers, we are expected to facilitate the change; and as employees, we are expected to accept the change.  There is only one BUT – Change is not easy.

  • What do we mean by agility?
  • What is organizational change management?
  • What are the keys to greater agility?
  • Does it have anything to do with culture?

The core objective of this one day workshop is to explore and understand the fundamentals of change management and how leaders play a role in any change initiatives. Our instructor will provide the attendees with tools to systematically analysis change and facilitate change to deliver faster business results.

Training Goals

  • Understand Change Management along with its value in an Organization
  • Understand that change initiatives / projects are no longer just measured on the golden triangle – scope, cost and timeline; She goes to explain that any change initiative involves both a technical side and a people side – delivering business results.
  • What are the best practice change methods to reduce resistance and minimize the productivity dip?
  • What are the frameworks and competency models that considers the human elements?  

Note: A week before the workshop, your instructor will send a preparation worksheet for you to jot down key questions / information as related to your change scenario.  Please bring the worksheet along for discuss.

speaker agnes lanDescribed as influential and inspirational by her clients and peers, Agnes Lan, P.Eng., MBA helps organizations grow through change.  She has a knack for breaking down complex strategies into tangible business tactics; this makes her very effective as a business lead and change agent. She has presented several times for York Chapter members.

She has considerable experience on the assessment, strategy, design and implementation of projects various industries. Agnes’ functional experience incorporates the following: Sales and Sales Operations, Operations, Customer Service and Inventory Control. She is often the business hat on Information Technology transformation projects with a focus on people impact. She has been involved in designing customer focused business models, detailed business processes, organization design, technology requirements through to implementation. Agnes has consulted to clients in the Broadcast, Distribution and Warehousing, Education, Manufacturing, Professional Services, Marketing and Construction.

With degrees from the University of Toronto, Indiana University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, her passion for learning contributes to numerous professional designations as Professional Engineer, Lean Black Belt Professional and ADKAR Change Management Practitioner.  With her latest Change Management Institute Canada Lead appointment, she is determined to spread the word on Change Management best practices.

The price for the seminar is $109.00 until 11:59PM on January 6, 2017, afterwards the price is $169.00 until February 1 when enrollment closes. An Eventbrite processing fee will apply.

If registering more than one attendee, please ensure that each attendee is listed. The name that you fill in Eventbrite registration will be used on the Certificate of Attendance.

Light breakfast selections, coffee, lunch and snacks, handouts, certificate, and receipt for your expense report if required are included in the fee. Seminar starts at 9:00 AM sharp and finishes at approximately 4:00PM.
