The Keel Community Conversation: How Entrepreneurs Change Communities

Featured speakers: Missy Fisher, Founder of Marine City Fish Co
Phillip Cooley, Founder of Slow's BBQ & Ponyride Detroit

Please join The Keel in a conversation between Blue Water Area natives Missy Fisher and Phil Cooley as they discuss how entrepreneurship changes communities. Missy's business is regarded as the spark for re-energizing the Marine City neighborhood and has expanded twice since opening in 2008. Phil's work has served as a catalyst for Detroit neighborhood revitalization, from opening a successful restaurant to a nationally recognized creative and social entrepreneurial community space.

As Phil and Missy share their experiences as business owners, we'll talk with them about trends on a regional level and how their journeys fit into or stray from what's next for Port Huron's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
