You are invited to first annual Kamome Festival!
The Kamome Festival celebrates the 10 year anniversary of when the little boat — called Kamome — washed ashore in Crescent City as result of a tsunami in Rikuzentakata, Japan. This tragic event sparked a special sister city relationship between Rikuzentakata and Crescent City.
Reserve your FREE ticket to for the Friday evening program to hear the story of Kamome, see a live Taiko Japanese drum performance and the unveiling of the new Kamome mural, and much more including a screening of the Kamome documentary.

The festival was made possible by the Del Norte County Office of Education, the City of Crescent City, the Crescent City-Del Norte County Chamber of Commerce, along with Del Norte County, local first responders, and the newly formed Kamome Foundation.
