Event description

Description

This session is for everyone who groans or rolls their eyes when a funder, evaluator or boss requests a logic model. The presenter will break down logic model components in practical, programmatic language, and demonstrate how graphic design options can make logic models more useful. Audience questions will be encouraged. Using original worksheets, attendees will apply efficient logic model design principles to their own programs. Time permitting, the group will work through one or two audience examples. By the end of the session, attendees will understand how logic models can be flexible, dynamic tools for program design, management, replication, reporting, marketing, evaluation and fundraising. The take-home worksheets will enable them to produce complete logic models for their own programs.

Key Takeaways:

  • The value of drafting a logic model early in a program’s lifespan.
  • The difference between outcomes, outputs, goals, objectives, and impacts.
  • The importance of contextualizing a program design within an appropriate time frame.
  • The contributions of color, line and shape to communicating the logic behind a program plan.

This workshop will be presented by Nicky Grist of Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund
