Course Outcomes:

 - Practical strategies and approaches for being an authentic and accessible Advisor

- A series of experiences and rituals that engage meaningful conversations, personal reflection, and positive group interactions among students, including considerations for adapting for Distance Learning

- Activities that will deepen and promote inter- and intra-personal development, and explore the importance of a structured, but emerging curriculum for Advisory

This inspiring, three-session online course offers new and experienced Advisors the opportunity to build and re-energize their approach and tools for advising. The approaches we will share are highly practical and ‘low-prep, high-impact’. During these uncertain times, we will also offer practices that will nurture Advisory connection both in-person and through Distance Learning, especially for new or reconfigured groups of advisees.

Key concepts that will be covered:

- How to structure time in Advisory

- Practices for emotional Check-Ins

- Practices to nurture advisee and group inter- and intra-personal

- How to build advisee buy-in, engagement, and leadership

- Managing and growing through challenges that arise as an Advisor

The course is highly experiential and participants will have opportunities to collaborate with fellow attendees.

This Online Course is all inclusive and available as three consecutive Sessions only.

What’s Included:

- Three Sessions of SEL Teaching, Practices, and Resources
