Organizer

Massachusetts Reach Out and Read, The Greater New Bedford Early LIteracy Consortium, and the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care

Reach Out and Read is an evidence-based nonprofit organization that promotes early literacy and school readiness in pediatric exam rooms nationwide by giving new books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud.

The Greater New Bedford Early Literacy Consortium is committed to enabling every child in Greater New Bedford to arrive at school with the exposure to books and reading that will ensure success in school and beyond.

The Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care knows that children's earliest experiences are especially important because building the human brain begins even before birth; a strong foundation in early years greatly increases the chance of positive outcomes.
