When & Where
The John Lindsay Foundation
The John Lindsay Foundation was founded to promote and/or improve public awareness of the sleep apnea problem in the commercial motor vehicle industry and to encourage legislation to address this problem that is nearing epidemic proportions. If untreated, sleep apnea can lead to fatalities on the roads, such as the collision that killed John Lindsay in 2010, when a 30-ton truck slammed into the back of his car. The JLFoundation also wants to encourage the commercial motor vehicle industry to establish and administer programs for their employees specifically for the purpose of identifying and treating sleep apnea.
We sincerely hope our efforts will help to make our nation’s highways a safer place to travel.
