Description
Professor Nicholas Vincent, FBA, will be delivering the Annual Palaeography Lecture on the subject: ‘Who wrote Magna Carta?’ at Senate House, London on 13 May 2015 at 6pm. The lecture will be followed by a wine reception.
Professor Vincent is Professor of Medieval History at the University of East Anglia and Director of the Magna Carta Project, which is a £1,000,000 research project funded by the AHRC (http://magnacartaresearch.org/). He is the author of A Very Short Introduction to Magna Carta (Oxford University Press, 2012) and has written a dozen books and about a hundred articles on kingship, charters and relics within the Anglo-French world of the 12th and 13th centuries. This year’s lecture celebrates the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta which falls on 15 June 2015.
