About this event
The Jigglewatts Burlesque Revue winds up the year in thrilling style with a dazzling and dangerous holiday burlesque murder mystery show, “The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year;” on two nights at 8:00 p.m. (doors at 7:00 p.m.) Thursday and Friday, December 29 and 30, 2022 at The Ballroom at Spider House, 2906 Fruth St. in Austin, Texas.
The Huffington Post calls their show “sassy and sexy…classy entertainment.”
It’s a sparkling and glamorous holiday soire– the champagne is flowing, chandeliers blazing, trumpets wailing and dancers giving their daring most. But just when things are getting into full swing, something goes terribly wrong! This night has a darker side, and someone has paid the ultimate price… Find out what happens when backstage rivalries, old grudges and showbiz jealousies meet in a perfect winter storm of motive and opportunity. Can you spot the killer in this holiday burlesque murder mystery?
This ongoing burlesque residency at The Ballroom at Spider House features live music, comedy, drag, variety, and world-class burlesque performances in a swanky cabaret setting. The Jigglewatts Burlesque is a perfect match for this jewel-box of a space where floor to ceiling red velvet curtains, an artfully appointed stage, and an aura of old Vaudeville add to the immersive experience. Guests can also look forward to saucy door prizes and goodie bags from Forbidden Fruit boutique.
"Eye-popping glamour...a burlesque troupe with a racy show that's not to be missed," writes Steven Moser of the Austin Chronicle.
