Description

The Jarmal Harris Project will present its 10th annual dramatic fashion show entitled Royalty (Kings & Queens) at 7:30pm on August 5, 2017 at the glamorous Sphinx Ballroom, in the heart of Washington DC (1315 K St NW). This years show will give a view of modern fashion and leave you feeling like an exuberant member of true royalty. The runway exhibition will host top designers that are sure to inspire and intrigue its guests. The evening’s festivities will commence with a VIP reception from 6PM-7PM where high profile fashion ambassadors and honored guests will indulge in a stunning regal atmosphere laden with champagne, delicacies, and gift bags making guests feel like the Royalty they truly are. For the past 9 years, The Jarmal Harris Project has successfully produced fashion shows, elevating year after year while delivering a robust fashion experience. This year, guest will see their favorite elements: a world class production, the hottest up-and-coming designers, and an exclusive slice of the JHP fashionable elite. Jarmal Harris (CEO), mission of multicultural arts promotion, ethnic diversity, and positive image display will remain strong.

About the Designers

Cesar Galindo lives and breathes for fashion. As the youngest of 11 children, he was exposed to the fundamentals of design at a very early age. His mother, an excellent stylist, influenced his ability to understand and conceptualize clothing design. As a teenager, Cesar made dresses and sold them in consignment stores around his hometown of Houston. Although naturally gifted, his formal training began when he worked for The Miami City Ballet as a costume designer. While there his talent blossomed as he learned the delicacies, elaborateness, and the value in its beauty and construction of fashion design. Cesar’s many accomplishments include working for Calvin Klein, Dolce and Gabanna and L.A.M.B by Gwen Stefani, as well as designing costumes for celebrities including Madonna, Mary J. Blige and Missy Elliot. He also created the wardrobe for Chaka Khan’s World Tour with Prince in 1999. His motto, is “Life should always be colorful from the inside out.” Haus of Falenciago, known for creating “red carpet ready” silhouettes and his growing celebrity client base will present his collection for the first time at the show. CEO/Founder Scheron Harley @hofalenciago (Instagram) has worked for several years with The Jarmal Harris project as a stylist before endeavoring in his own ventures. His celebrity clients include Jasmine Burke, Ginuwine, Letoya Luckett, Claudia Jordan, Jazmine Sullivan, and Jill Scott. Jarmal Harris, a District of Columbia Native and Fashion enthusiast, is a highly sought after celebrity stylist/designer, and the founder/CEO of The Jarmal Harris Project. Known for styling Grammy Award Winning R&B singer Monica, Olympian Gold Medalist Venus Williams, Grammy Nominated artist Yahzara St. James, and Real Housewife of New York Ramona Jeffries. He uses his cultivated knowledge to teach youth through the fashion arts. For his 10th annual fashion show he has a special message: “I want to reach out to youth and people of all ages to let them know that we are all Kings & Queens in our own right. We are here to uplift and inspire each other to become a better version of ourselves!”. His events have received positive media coverage over the years, for the caliber of the shows and the impeccable talent he posses. About The Jarmal Harris Project

The Jarmal Harris Project (JHP), is a premier, comprehensive Arts group and a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that provides learning opportunities for youth in the community including youth from Wards 1-8 in Washington, D.C. JHP has produced over 10 fashion shows throughout the years. Previous shows included “A Night at The Garden”, ”Once Upon a Time”, and “The Tribute”. These shows have been housed in extravagant venues such as the Arena Stage, Carnegie Library, and The Wooley Mammoth Theatre. This is a youth organized project where the philosophy of the group is to establish and maintain a caring, learning, and performing environment wherein youth will grow into productive adults who will lead fulfilling lives and enhance the conditions of life by making significant contributions to the community.
