The Intersection of Christianity & the Law
Overview
On Thursday, November 20, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in The Wolfberg Courtroom, Widener Law Commonwealth will host a continuing legal education program examining The Intersection of Christianity & the Law. Drawing from the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct, speakers will explore how moral and ethical considerations intersect with a lawyer’s duties to clients, to the legal system, and to personal conscience. The discussion will consider questions such as: • How can faith inform a lawyer’s sense of justice and public service? • In what ways might moral or spiritual beliefs guide ethical decision-making? • Where are the boundaries between personal conviction and professional obligation?
Featured Speakers: • The Honorable P. Kevin Brobson ’95, Justice, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania • The Honorable Eric G. Bruggink, Judge, United States Court of Federal Claims, Washington, D.C. • Michael Moreland, Professor of Law, Villanova Law School, and Director, Eleanor H.
