The Intersection Between Education, Behaviors and Mental Health

This training is about how the experience and trauma associated with foster care can impact youth's mental health, which can manifest in behaviors, and impact education. The traumas and behaviors can add over time which can contribute to the low high school and college graduation rates for these youth. The training will highlight best practices for supporting these students as they move through life and enter adulthood, as well as provide concrete steps of how to encourage and uplift them on their journeys.
