Come join us as groups from Korea, Colombia pitch their various companies to select panelists and judges as part of their weeklong immersion to Silicon Valley!
Tim Sanchez will kick off the event with a keynote speech that comes from a very unique perspective: Tim spent 20 years on Wall Street and as a Silicon Valley entrepreneur before joining the Navy. His time on Wall Street included work at Lehman Brothers, Citi Smith Barney, and several high-profile New York Stock Exchange IPOs. He's a Lieutenant Commander with the US Navy Reserves with deployments to Kuwait, Iraq, and most recently Afghanistan. Tim earned dual MBA's from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. In his talk, he'll address the importance of mental and physical training to help with the challenges of building a company and how to handle curveballs and bumps in the road while building your business.
Following Tim's speech, 8 selected teams from Korea, Colombia and Brazil will pitch to a panel of judges to compete for the grand prize: one month of free office space at NestGSV with VC mentorship.

Emil Babadjov is the Managing Director of Voivoda Ventures, an early stage fund focusing on investments outside of the traditional technology markets. Voivoda ventures has had 5 M&A transactions in the last 6 years. His primary investment focus is on companies in the Cloud, Enterprise, SaaS, and Mobile space. Most recently, he has developed a strong interest in startups revolving around Bitcoin. Emil is also a member of Sand Hill Angels as of 2012.
Rick Rasmussen runs a global consulting practice that connects international companies, governments and economic development agencies with the vast resources available throughout Silicon Valley. He has over 25 years experience in semiconductor and internet services and has been part of companies including LSI Logic, C-Cube, @Road and Sage, Inc (all four IPOs). Most of his career has been in marketing and business development with stints as General Manager and CEO along the way. He's always looking to use his background to assist new opportunities get off the ground or to help a small to medium size business fix their problems and get to the next level.
