The International Design Programme

Study design and culture in the United Kingdom, the world’s leading global design hub. Learn about design, technology, business and industry in London, the ‘Design Capital of the World’ and Manchester, the ‘Northern Digital Powerhouse’.

This is a 7 day programme that features attendance at the DesignOps Global Conference 2019, (www.designops-conference.com), attendees also undertake a design and innovation workshop with Pete Fossick and we have a packed adenda of tours of and visit to the world’s leading design agencies and finest museums.

This 8 day programme is divided into two sections featuring Manchester and London and costs £3800 per person (not including hotels or transport)

The Conference

This trip features a 2 Day VIP Pass for the DesignOps Global Conference 2019 The DesignOps Global Conference 2019 is aimed at design leaders, developers, practitioners, product managers, service innovators and business leaders that are defining the way we design and develop new products and services in an ‘Agile World’. The title of this year’s conference is ‘Agile and Beyond – New Frontiers in Design’ and it takes place in Manchester on May 30th and 31st Design has never been so impactful, relevant and important. From user centred design to service design, we use design to deliver great experiences, new products, innovative services and disruptive business models in the ‘experience economy’ where digital is the disruptor. This new conference will serve as a platform to share new ideas and identify the important issues facing designers, developers and business leaders working at the cutting edge of digital innovation.

The Workshop

Using a bootcamp format, attendees learn how to apply design tools that enable teams to collaborate at speed and apply User Centred Design and the IXSD Design Practices toolkit. Learn the principles of agile product, ux and service design based on Human Centred Design using Design Thinking principles and DesingOps. You will learn immersed in a unique cultural setting with access to leading design practitioners, thought leaders, business champions, pioneering design groups, companies and cultural events.

The Museums

The V&A The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design, housing a permanent collection of over 2.27 million objects. It was founded in 1852 and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert The Whitworth The Whitworth is an art gallery in Manchester, England, containing about 55,000 items in its collection. The gallery is located in Whitworth Park and is part of the University of Manchester. Established in 1889, and transformed in 2015, the Whitworth reopened after it was transformed by a £15 million capital redevelopment that doubled its exhibition spaces, restored period features and opened itself up to its surrounding park.
