Event description
Combatting Commercial Sexual Exploitation through Law and Policy

About this event

It is imperative that the experiences of survivors inform the development of policies and law reform to combat commercial sexual exploitation. Survivor voices must remain front and center of the anti-trafficking movement as we shape policy, provide services and work toward a world where commercial sexual exploitation is a relic of the past.

For this year’s symposium, please join us for cutting-edge panel presentations from survivors, lawyers and law reformers.

This symposium is approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 6 Substantive In-Person or Distance CLE credits. Please note registration prior to the event is required. Attendees will receive an email from Eventbrite with the Zoom link prior to the event and can choose to join either in-person or virtually to receive CLE credit.

CSE Institute Celebration and Awards Ceremony

Following the symposium, you are also cordially invited to attend a special celebration of the CSE Institute and its mission of centering the experiences of survivors to inform legal services, policies and best practices to combat commercial sexual exploitation. The CSE Institute will present the annual Justice Done Award to the Department of Corrections, with former Secretary John Wetzel accepting on its behalf. The evening will include speakers such as author and survivor leader Chris Stark, the unveiling of a book from Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s library that will join Villanova Law’s collection, and a tribute to the late survivor leader Kathleen Mitchell.

To further support the CSE Institute, please consider making a one-time gift or recurring donation. Your gift of any amount helps provide education and technical assistance to those on the frontlines of commercial sexual exploitation.
