The Instinctual Drives and the Enneagram with John Luckovich
Sat, June 17, 2017, 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM EDT
This class explores the role our instinctual life has on our psychology and on our spiritual development from the perspective of the ENNEAGRAM and the Fourth Way. If we can see our individual relationship with the instinctual drives and learn to honor them, we can bring them into balance & alignment. Instinct is the most basic organization of awareness and sensitivity in an organism, but without presence, they can dominate our inner life and sap our energy. The Self-Preservation, Sexual, and Social Instinctual Drives are the foundations from which every other capacity of an organism arises.
In this class we will:
- Learn tools and practices for bringing greater awareness to our instincts
- Understand what fears motivate the sexual, social, self preservation instincts in each enneagram type
- Learn how to shift from fear to aliveness
- Learn how to hold instinctual energy required for presence
- Practice using instinctual energy to move toward presence.
This workshop is open to all levels of experience, but some basic Enneagram knowledge would be helpful.
John has been involved in the studies of the Enneagram, The Fourth Way, and inner work and practice for over ten years, and is completing teaching certification with the Enneagram Institute.
