JOIN US! From the earth-rattling 12th Man to the scarf-wearing fans, Seattle is quickly building a nationwide reputation for having some most passionate sports fans anywhere. In the age of social media, it’s this passion, along with online tools like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, that are providing pro teams like the Seahawks, Sounders, & Mariners new ways for engaging and super-charging their already passionate fans – and it’s paying off in some very big ways.


DETAILS:

When: February 26 6-8pm - for a panel discussion on sports and social media in Seattle 

Where: Seattle City Hall, 600 4th Ave, Seattle 

Who: Digital Media leads from the Mariners, Sounders and Seahawks 


SPEAKERS:

Kenton Olson - Seattle Seahawks & Sounders FC, Director of Digital Media

Olson is responsible for all website content, digital media product management, social media strategy and emerging platforms for the Seattle Seahawks & Seattle Sounders FC. Under his leadership Seahawks.com has risen to a top 10 website in site traffic amongst all NFL club sites, while SoundersFC.com has led all Major League Soccer in site traffic for three consecutive years. 

Gregg Greene - Senior Director of Marketing for the Seattle Mariners, @RealGregg

Gregg worked at the Fisher Radio stations in various capacities, which eventually led to a part-time stadium DJ position during the Mariners magical 1995 season. In the 17 years since then, he's have had the opportunity to shape the Mariners brand for fans throughout the Northwest, from launching the sports anthem “Who Let the Dogs Out” to the creation and development of the King’s Court. As Senior Director of Marketing, he overseeing marketing, advertising, promotions, giveaways, game entertainment, web site, social media and mobile initiatives.
