Do changes in the curriculum, including indoctrination campaigns, justify leaving Hong Kong?

About this event

Parenting is challenging in any part of the world. However, it may be especially challenging in Hong Kong. Does the competitive landscape in Hong Kong require mums to be tiger mums and children to win at the starting line to avoid being left behind? How to address the paradox of filial piety & academic excellence vs. critical thinking & creativity? How much should politics and nationalism influence schools and learning? Do changes in the curriculum, including indoctrination campaigns, justify leaving Hong Kong?

We will discuss the challenges of parents and parents-to-be in the meeting.

Date: Tue 28 Jun, 7pm-9pm

Location: Salon 10 (Arbuthnot Rd., 10, Central).

Theme: "The ins and outs of parenting and everything in between"
