The Innovation Imperative: Innovate or Die

Featured Speaker: Ken Morse, Chairman, Entrepreneurship Ventures, Inc.

Veteran serial entrepreneur and business leader Ken Morse will share new insights on how companies, large and small, can organize themselves to achieve both incremental and radical innovation. Ken's revelations are gleaned from successful organizations in Silicon Valley, Route 128, and other innovation clusters around the world. This workshop will offer proven techniques for fostering innovation, examining the key roles and beliefs that successful entrepreneurs share.

Ken Morse

Ken Morse, Chairman, Entrepreneurship Ventures, Inc.

Ken Morse was a co-founder of six high-tech companies; five had successful IPOs or mergers; one was a disaster. They included 3Com Corporation, Aspen Technology, Inc., a China trade company, a biotech venture, and an expert systems company. Ken was either the CEO or responsible for part or all of the sales organization in each of these new enterprises. In the thirteen years (1996 – 2009) that Ken served as Founding Managing Director of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center, the number of students taking entrepreneurship courses increased from 220 to 1,600 per year while the number of professors grew from 3 to over 36.

Ken was appointed to the recently-created National Advisory Council on Innovation & Entrepreneurship by Secretary Locke and President Obama, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (New York City). He has been teaching the Entrepreneurial Skills Development workshops in Europe, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Québec, and the US for more than 8 years.
