Event description

Description

To Lauch Hungintgon's Awareness Month in Orange I am screening a documentary film about a courageous family telling there story of their journey with Huntingtons Disease. I too, have lived this journey first hand with my Mum, and now with my brother. Knowing what it feels like to know that you too may be heading down this road- is a feeling like no other.

I am trying to raise more awareness and education about HD amongst both the general commnuity and professional circles, and the impact it has on not only the inheriter but also their family & friends.

Following a sell-out World Premiere screenings at the 2014 New Zealand International Film Festival & Australian Premiere at the 2014 Tasmanian BOFA Film Festival, the film received high accolades.

"Truly one of the most moving & inspirational stories I have ever witnessed on the big screen" Dr Cathy Stephenson-The Dominion Post

"Above all, it feels like a love story" Dayna Goldfine, Emmy winning U.S. Filmmaker

"It is an incredible documentary, the type of which once you see it, you nvere forget it." ABC RN

Movie will be followed by supper and a short Q & A with a guest speaker.

Please join me to spread the awareness and learn about this disease named as the Worst Disease of Mankind.

Kind Regards

Rachael
