Event description

Description

All Rhode Island preparation program leadership and faculty are invited to join RIDE in a special session focused on the importance of curriculum. During the session, participants will have an opportunity to hear David Steiner, Executive Director of the Johns Hopkins Institute for Education Policy, share his thoughts and insights about the critical importance of having a high quality PK-12 curriculum. The conversation will also center on the challenges and opportunities that educator preparation programs face in preparing future teachers to implement curriculum successfully.

During the meeting, RIDE will also provide an overview of its current work related to PK-12 curriculum. All participants will have an opportunity to review a draft definition of curriculum and provide feedback to inform future revisions. We value the insight and expertise of prep programs and are eager to hear your thoughts on the definition.

We hope you will join us for this exciting opportunity. If you have additional questions, please contact Lisa Foehr at lisa.foehr@ride.ri.gov.
