BINATIONAL HEALTH WEEK

As every year, Binational Health Week (SBS, Semana Binacional de Salud) is held during October to celebrate the health of the Latino community in the United States and offer preventive and health promotion services.

SBS is one of the most important national mobilizations headed by the Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary of Health, with the support of the consular network in the United States to promote the health of the migrant community Hispanic/Mexican. This year marks nineteen years of the existence of this important event in which government agencies, community organizations, hospitals, clinics, civil organizations and many other institutions join efforts to improve access to Latino population.

In our area we collaborate with the Coalition of Latin American Consuls in New York (CLACNY) and Coalition of Latin American Consuls in New Jersey (GLACO).

NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is wheelchair accessible. To request special accommodations, please contact 347-396-6732 or mhernan1@health.nyc.gov no later than 48 hours before the event.
