Description
This exclusive event offers an unprecedented opportunity for people to delve into Peter Rollins' groundbreaking work and explore its wider implications. In addition to in-depth talks, Peter will be curating a series of exciting fringe events revolving around the themes of the conference.
Cutting across the tired theist/atheist, believer/unbeliever, religious/spiritual divisions, this event has been crafted especially for those who are interested in seriously exploring the disturbing and counter-cultural work of pyrotheology.
Based in the Black Box (where ikon offered many of its most innovative gatherings), but making use of multiple venues, this event will include a rich tapestry of magic, music, yoga, tours, transformance art, pub nights and debate. Over the four days there will be discussions concerning individual and group development, creative workshops designed to put the theory into practice, great Guinness in amazing pubs and a chance to meet new people, listen to great music and see the beauty of N.Ireland.
In short, we are committed to creating an experience that shows the context out of which Peter's work arose, offer ways of putting the ideas into practice and provides space for people to make new and lasting friendships.
Peter's main talks during the event include,
When Heaven Becomes Hell: Religion and the Death Drive
The Divine Magician: Christ and the Vanishing Act of God
The Putrid Collective: Becoming Agents of Decay
Future Church: Can a Radical Movement Arise
Special guests include platinum selling musician Duke Special, writer, speaker and equality activist Jay Bakker, academic, author and lecturer Barry Taylor, commentator on Radical Thought Katharine Moody, award winning magician Caolan McBride and more!
Price excludes food and accommodation. We do however hope to offer a few free beds for those with limited resources and will provide a list of places to stay (from the lavish to the more affordable) to those who register.

Belfast City Airport (10 min taxi drive to venue)
Belfast International (25 mins via bus to venue)
