The Limerick Writers' Centre Present

Lunch Time Poetry @ The Hunt Museum

Friday 14th July 2017, 1pm

In association with the Hunt Museum 8 poets (2 per week) will give a reading in the Captain's Room four Fridays in July from 1.00pm to 2.00pm, readings will be preceded by a piece of music performed by local musicians.


Patrick Stack was born in Limerick City, Ireland and Raised in Duagh, Co. Kerry. Educated at St. Michael's College, Listowel, he read French and English at Trinity College, Dublin. He emigrated to Seville, Spain in 1988 where he taught English, and worked as a translator and interpreter. He moved back to Ireland in 1995, and settled in County Clare, where he works as a web developer, programmer, and adult education tutor. He is an active member of the Poetry Collective group which he joined in 2007. Patrick has had poems published in Voicefree, Revival Poetry Journal, Crannóg, Brigid's Fire, and The Clare Champion.His second collection of poetry entitled Rage was published in June 2017 by Revival Press..

Susan McNamara is from Limerick. Her home has been between New York and Limerick for the past 20 years. In New York she was a personal assistant to many New York professionals. She has written a series of children’s books plus three collections of poetry and a recently completed novel. She is currently working on her second novel and a new collection of poetry and prose.
