We call this an Art Expedition as opposed to an exhibition, because we are chronologically taking our audience(s) through history using art, spoken word, music, and truth. The goal is to evoke thought, and present the question "How far have we really come?" while interactively engaging a mixed crowd. The Human Zoo derives from the story of Sarah Baartman and evolves into a journey of African American experiences/impediments/empowerment. From being put on display for public view to the continued exploitation of black women, men, and culture to our present day madness. This event is a production encompassing scripts as well as actors. On the Thursday prior to super Tuesday, RAX WorldWide hopes to urge all in attendance to come together to do better in addition to VOTE. Tickets will be pre-sold. The audience will be maxed at 150 people. Proceeds will go towards more community events sponsored by RAX and friends.
