Course Goal
The goal of this class is to help participants understand the Holocaust and how it could have happened.

Course Description
This class will help students gain insight into the Holocaust by reading, viewing, and discussing selected materials.

Instructor: Frances Flannery

Frances Flannery is a retired high school history and English teacher who focused on the Holocaust and other genocides in the last 20 years of her career. She trained as a Holocaust educator at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC; Yad Vashem in Jerusalem; Rutgers University; and Kean University. Frances taught a course on the Holocaust and genocide studies at South Plainfield (NJ) High School and presented at numerous colleges in New Jersey.

Number of Sessions: Attendance at all sessions is encouraged, but not required.

NOTE that this course has shifted forward one week. It will begin Tuesday, 3/21, and run for 3 weeks ending 4/4.

Materials to Bring: N/A

Restrictions or Requirements: Participants should be at least high school age. Any students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
