The Workroom

In The Workroom, you will receive business technical assistance that includes: resources for funding, social media & marketing training, and guidance on how to turn your creative passion into a profit. The training will take place on Thursday, March 15 & Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 6 - 9 pm at the DOES American Job Training Center.

Maker Day & Media Day

In addition to the 2 day training in the Workroom, GES will also offer a Maker Day and a Media Day. On Maker Day, the hustler entrepreneurs can move from their kitchen table and at-home creation spaces and have the opportunity to spread out and make or package their products with the assistance of volunteer students and alongside other makers. Maker Day will take place on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 9 am - 5 pm at the DOES American Job Center.

The Media Day includes a professional make-up artist, photographer, and members of the media for the entrepreneur hustlers to display their products and tell their stories. The professional photos and media exposure will provide collateral that can be used multiple times on websites, social media, and in marketing materials. Media Day will take place on Friday, April 20, 2018 with a wonderful community location being announced soon!

The Showroom

The Showroom will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10 am - 5 pm, with additional time for set up and break down. We are excited to work with new community partners to help increase the number of shoppers who attend. While we will continue to do a joint marketing effort with all participants through social media, GES is also adding enhanced marketing throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area with our partnerships to increase Showroom visitors and shoppers.
