Trauma Informed Care is an organizational structure and treatment framework that involves understanding, recognizing, and responding to the effects of all types of trauma. Trauma Informed Care also emphasizes physical, psychological and emotional safety for both consumers and providers, and helps survivors rebuild a sense of control and empowerment.

Join us for part two of a three part training series on Trauma Informed Care. At this first training "The Hero's Journey: Trauma to Post-traumatic Growth" we will be covering

  • Trauma, Epigenetics, and Neurobiology
  • Trauma, Attachment, and Human Development
  • Trauma and Personal Narratives
  • Trauma and Addiction
  • Trauma-Informed Relationships, Hope, and Post-traumatic Growth

*This is training is free but space is limited and participants must sign up with Young & Healthy.  You have received this message because you or someone at your organization has shown interest in this training.  

 Check-in and light breakfast opens at 8:30 am.

Training will begin promptly at 9 am.

This is part 3 of a 3 part series.  If you wish attend all three, you must register for each individual event.  One college credit can be earned by attending all three trainings.  More details to come at the first training on October 8, 2018.

About the Trainer: Matt Bennett

Matt Bennett, MBA, MA, has a master’s degree in community psychology and executive development (nonprofit management), as well as a master’s in business administration in health care. Mr. Bennett specializes in the delivery of trauma-informed care, quality improvement, results-based leadership, and Motivational Interviewing. Mr. Bennett has successfully combined his academic pursuits as a researcher, blogger, and published author with his practical experience in leading nonprofit organizations and educational institutions to develop research-based solutions to improve the health of individuals, organizations, and systems.

As a sought-after trainer, Mr. Bennett utilizes a participant-centered approach, which includes interactions and adult learning activities to maximize learning, retention, and application. These approaches, combined with a strong mastery of the topical research, allow delivery of in-depth subject matter in a practical manner, targeted to the audience. Mr. Bennett’s presentations are a dynamic dance of innovative research, practical applications, and a passion for the art and science of helping others.
