The Herbert Protocol Lunch & Learn
Cumbria Safeguarding Adults Board have commissioned the rebadging of an animation named The Herbert Protocol which is named after a war veteran of the Normandy landings named George Herbert, who lived with dementia in a care home. Mr Herbert went missing and sadly died while searching for his childhood home. The protocol encourages carers or family members of adults living with dementia to collate information on those who are vulnerable on to the Herbert Protocol form, which can be given to the police, incase the person goes missing to help with the search.
You are invited to join the online event during which Detective Superintendent Daniel StQuintin, from Cumbria Police, will present information about the Herbert Protocol and how the Protocol is used by Cumbria Constabulary, and his colleague Tracey Fawcett will be on hand to answer any questions.
