After years of serving folks at several of San Francisco’s most renowned bars, Rohini Moradi began seeking out ways to enhance our imbibing pleasure with healthy remedies from the earth. This led her to starting her own company, Elevated Spirits. Drawing inspiration from early culinary experiences in Iran and India, Moradi, fascinated by the effects of spices such as saffron on our palettes, began playing with untraditional cocktail-making ingredients. In 2012 she created her own cocktail recipe book which includes a variety of original recipes using herbs such as rosemary and dill; spices such as coriander and cayenne; and flowers such as hibiscus and elderflower which not only tickle the senses upon first taste but actually help promote bodily health as they are ingested. She's made herbal mixology her own scientific playground - seeking cures to our ailments and answers to our questions with a child-like curiosity that has led to her stand out in the bartending industry.
