Description

Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers welcomes you to join us in working to eliminate Hepatitis C in Philadelphia by providing support for The “Heppy” Hour: A Mocktail Celebration Benefitting the C a Difference Program at Philadelphia FIGHT. The event will showcase some of the Philadelphia’s best non-alcoholic beverages from local mixologists, bartenders, and fine locations, including Safran Turney Hospitality's restaurants (Bud & Marilyn's, Barbuzzo, Lolita). It will be held in honor of World Hepatitis Day on Thursday, July 25th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Broad Street Ministry, 315 South Broad Street, Philadelphia.

According to the Philadelphia Department of Public health, an estimated 53,000 people in Philadelphia are living with Hepatitis C (HCV), and many of them may not know they are HCV positive. HCV can be cured. To date, more than 400 patients have been cured of HCV or began cure treatment at FIGHT’s John Bell Health Center. With your help, we hope to offer this potentially lifesaving cure to hundreds more in the coming year.

The C a Difference program offers HCV education and counseling to those at risk for HCV infection. We provide high-quality confidential testing, education, patient navigation and linkage to healthcare services within our Health Centers and at dozens of community locations throughout the city, including recovery centers, senior centers, community centers and homeless shelters.

Sponsorships are also available. For more information, please contact Chip Alfred at calfred@fight.org or call 215-525-8628.
