Event description

Description

Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church invites you to a monthly environmental education web meeting series whose theme in 2019 is environmental issues, and what you can do. In June, Jordan Macha, Executive Director, Bayou City Waterkeeper, will address the health of Houston's water & what you can do. Bayou City Waterkeeper works to make our bayous, streams, rivers & bays fishable, swimmable, & drinkable throughout the Greater Houston Region. To fulfill this mission, Bayou City Waterkeeper works at the local, state, and federal level to bring best-available science to policy-making, holds polluters accountable through litigation, and advocates for clean water, wetland protection, and resilient communities. Jordan will discuss the issues facing Houston's waterways and how you can be involved. Contact Lisa Brenskelle at gcs.lrc@gmail.com with any questions about this talk.
