Event description
Bringing Hard Tech and Parliament together under the common cause to strengthen the UK's manufacturing innovation base.

About this Event

Hard Road?

The problem for Hard Tech companies is they face much greater difficulties than their digital and service innovation counterparts, because the time-to-market for capex related companies is much longer, and the risks for investors therefore higher. The Hard Road question is, what can be done, by industry and government, to encourage more long-term investment in Hard Tech companies?

Aim of the dinner

The dinner will bring together the leaders of Hard Tech companies, together with their eco systems and the Westminster policy community, convened respectively by the Bessemer Society and the Foundation for Science and Technology, with the aim to ensure that the opportunities for Hard Tech to strengthen the UK’s manufacturing economy are further recognised and promoted.
